Chapter 15

Later that day…

Storm leaned back in his chair. “This changes everything.”

“With all due respect, how do you figure?” Vortex asked.

“We now know that it is vigilante groups and not all of the goblins who are involved in an uprising this time.” Storm rolled his shoulders a few times. “I don’t even think it can be called an uprising. It’s a couple of irritated goblin males, sick of being under female rule.” He sniggered.

“You’re under female rule,” Thunder deadpanned.

“Like fuck I am.”

“You are totally under female rule. If your mate asks you to jump, you don’t even ask how high; you just do it.”

Storm shook his head, looking shocked. “That’s bull. I wouldn’t—”

“Relax, little brother.” Thunder held up a hand, smiling. “I’m also ruled by my female. It’s how it is. Our females are mostly subtle about the fact that they have us by the balls. It’s not so with the goblins. There is nothing subtle there.” Thunder laughed. “I can’t believe that Shrakka is a female. You said that the females have cocks?”

“That’s what Dommak said. They have cocks, and they like to use them on the males.” He shivered.

“Poor fucks.” Storm shrugged. “Unless you like that kind of thing. Personally, I think I might revolt against that as well.”

Thunder shrugged. “I have to say that I agree with Storm. I think this changes things. Makes them less urgent.”

“Sire, we can’t take the word of a goblin…a Horde Captain. They could be lying to get us off our guard and to catch us with our pants down.”

“You say that the female from the security company figured this out? That after prompting Dommak, the goblin revealed the male-female thing and the real reason behind the groups we have been seeing?”

“That is correct, but…he…she…whatever the case is, might have been lying. Perhaps it was Dommak’s intention to reveal all of this to get us to relax our guard.”

“I’m not saying for one second that we relax, just that we can stress a little less about it,” Storm said. “We still go ahead with all of our plans. We increase security. Where are we with that?”

“The female had an ordeal today. I insisted that she take the day off. The presentation will take place a day later. I rescheduled with your PA already. I will sit with Amy tomorrow and go over the plans and schematics for the mines.”

“I don’t think she should go back,” Thunder said. “It’s too risky.”

“Agreed.” Vortex heaved an internal sigh of relief.

“I will set up a meeting with the goblin king…queen.” Storm made a face, trying to suppress a smile. “I need to try to get used to that.”

“I’m not sure that would be safe, my Lord.”

“I will be well guarded. I want to talk more about these matters. I want to be sure that they have the situation contained. I want to see how we can work together to stop these vigilante males. They’re after our females. They want the humans, and they have to be stopped.
